Virgin Galactic Delta Spaceship
Founded by Sir Richard Branson in 2004, Virgin Galactic is planning to resume its spaceflight schedule aboard a brand-new craft. Dubbed the Delta, it can hold up to six passengers — two more than the prior iteration — and is expected to begin cargo flights in the summer of 2026, with passenger flights following in the fall. Assembly of the first craft will begin this March. With a backlog of nearly 700 ticket holders, it will take about a year for new astronauts-in-waiting to hop aboard, although the ticket price will likely limit demand for the foreseeable future.
