Vision Phantom Recyclable Electric Boat

Electric boat builder Vision Marine Technologies of Canada is launching a new runabout with a twist — the vessel is fully recyclable. Introduced at the Miami International Boat Show, the Phantom is an electric day boat measuring just under 17 feet, with a beam of seven and weighing just 800 pounds. Three versions of the Phantom will be offered: the hull only, standard electric motors, and the most powerful electric motors with extended range. The Phantom can also be equipped with standard ICE engines. The standard version can cruise for up to five hours, with the top-line model offering 10 hours on the waves. The simple design can accommodate up to 10 people on fishing trips or joy rides. Orders for the Phantom are available now with a $500 refundable deposit.
