Wandering Walls

Nestled between the ocean and an acacia forest on Taiwan's Hengchun Peninsula, the Wondering Walls is an unconventional beach retreat. Made entirely of concrete, the monolithic structure softens the traditional brutalist style with a series of wavy walls that literally "wonder" through the tall grasses. Its ribbon-like partitions form seven unique rooms throughout three floors where warm, natural materials and floor-to-ceiling glazing break up the exposed concrete palette. On the rooftop, an infinity pool gives guests full panoramas of the bay and surrounding mountains.
