Yellowstone's Chief Joseph Ranch

Five hours west of Yellowstone National Park sits the ranch made famous by the hit TV show of the same name — known in real life as Chief Joseph Ranch. Shane Libel and his family have owned and operated the working ranch since 2012, with the property originally homesteaded in the late 1800s, and offer reservations with a minimum three-night stay — although the ranch is currently booked through 2025. The Ben Cook Cabin and Fisherman Cabin are available to guests, each accommodating four guests, or more with a $50 per person fee. The Libel family has made improvements to the property since purchasing it, but strive to keep the ranch as intact as possible, seeing their ownership as temporary until the next owner comes along.
