Italdesign Supercar

Italdesign has been helping companies build cars for nearly five decades. This year, they've taken on a new client: themselves. Conceived by the designers and engineers working in concert, the Italdesign Supercar is a potent mix of styling and performance. Built atop a modular carbon fiber and aluminum chassis, it has a body made entirely of carbon fiber. The upper portion has smooth lines in keeping with Italian tradition, while the lower half is meant to maximize aerodynamics. As for power, it has a 5.2L V10 engine, good for a 0-62 time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of over 205 mph. Limited to just five examples for the 2017 model year.

  • Ferrari 812 Superfast

Created not just as a successor to the F12 but to honor the 70th anniversary of the first Ferrari-badged car — also powered by a V12 — the Ferrari 812 Superfast looks to be worthy of its proud heritage. As the fastest, most powerful 12-cylinder berlinetta in the company's history, its 6.5L engine outputs 789 hp. Paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the company's first Electric Power Steering system, it goes from 0-62 in just 2.9 seconds and hits a top speed of over 211 mph. The Ferrari Styling Centre is responsible for the design, which has a two-box layout and high tail that recalls the 1969 365 GTB4 and is available in a special Rosso Settanta color that also marks the company's 70th anniversary.

  • Pagani Huayra Roadster

There's lots of good news when it comes to the Pagani Huayra Roadster. It has the same Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12 as its hard-topped predecessor, yet ups the power to 754 hp, sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed gearbox. Space-age materials carbo-titanium and carbo-triax are used to craft the monocoque, delivering a 52% increase in stiffness while shedding about 80kg compared to the coupe — unheard of for a roadster conversion. It also looks fantastic. The bad news? Pagani is only building 100 examples and has already sold them all.
