Nike LunarEpic Flyknit

Drawing on technology developed for their Magista soccer cleat, the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit is the company's most advanced running shoe yet. It uses a one-piece Nike Flyknit upper and a mid-height collar to let the foot, ankle, and lower leg work together as a single unit. Different knit densities and Flywire cables help provide support and a lockdown fit, and the midsole — made from two different heat-fused foams — provides outstanding cushioning while laser siping on the side allows for flexibility. Finally, the rubber-free outsole extends the Lunarlon foam all the way to the ground in the form of "pistons" that sport laser-siped geometric patterns and move individually to maximize traction, cushioning, and energy return. Available in a rainbow of eye-catching colorways.

  • Viberg Mallory Boot

No one knows whether George Mallory reached the summit of Everest before the peak claimed his life in 1924. But we do have a good idea of what his shoes looked like. The Viberg Mallory Boot is a careful recreation of the mountaineer's climbing boots found with his remains some 75 years after his disappearance. Built on a vintage last, they have a brown waxed leather upper, melton wool tongue, felt midsole, and plenty of rugged hobnails. Down to the hand stitched leather patches placed where Mallory's own boots had worn through, they're faithful to the original, and are likewise not available for purchase.

  • Lanona Fireside Moc Slipper

Relaxing around the house calls for a certain mix of attire. Comfortable pants (with pockets — let's not be savages here), a soft tee, and footwear that strikes the right balance of casual and classy. Like the Lanona Fireside Moc Slipper, for example. It uses a classic houseslipper silhouette, but plusses it with a Horween Color #8 Chromexcel upper, an outsole made from Rough-out Chromexcel, a double-padded insole, and a maple cow liner for additional comfort, and what one can only assume is added resistance against unpleasant odors.
