1948 Pre-Production Land Rover

Land Rover marks 70 years of making some of the most capable 4x4s on the planet in 2018. The company has a series of celebrations and events planned, but there was one very special guest missing — the original Land Rover prototype. It's been found in the unlikeliest of places, just a few miles from the original Land Rover factory in Solihull. Sitting in a garden behind a cottage, this landmark vehicle is now in the hands of Land Rover's Classic Restorations team, where it will get a full rebuild back to its factory specs while preserving its hard-earned 63-year-old patina.
