1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Card

Even though he's been gone for more than two decades, Mickey Mantle continues to set records. Most recently with the sale of his 1952 baseball card — one of the most sought-after items in sports memorabilia. The card sold for $5.2 million and is graded mint-9 by PSA through auction site PWCC — making it only one of a few in existence that has been graded this high. The sale bests the previous record, set with the sale of a 2009 Bowman autographed rookie card of Mike Trout which is one of a kind and sold for $3.9 million. The Mantle card last changed hands in 2018 when it sold for $2.88 million.
