1961 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe
The E-Type in its purest form — this extremely early-production development Series I is Jaguar's legendary GT at its best. Completed on September 27, 1961, and assigned chassis number 860010. Painted Opalescent Dark Green, the car would go on to put in work as a demonstration car for the press and as a testbed to refine the E-Type. The car has several unique features that would make it to the production line, including a lowered driver's side floor, redesigned seats and pedal position, and numerous mechanical improvements. The car left Jaguar in 1963, changing hands a few times before being sent to JD Classics for a full restoration. 860010 still has its original engine and an immaculate, concours-level restoration, making it one of the best E-Types on the market.
