1975 Vesco Racing Streamliner
Don Vesco's record-breaking streamliner crosses the auction block, featuring the dual paint scheme from both its Silver Bird and Lightning Bolt configurations. In 1975, Vesco became the first to break 300 mph on two wheels, hitting 303.812 mph at Bonneville with twin Yamaha TZ750 engines. Three years later, racing under the Lightning Bolt name with twin turbocharged Kawasaki 1000cc engines, he set a new record of 318.598 mph that stood for 12 years. The sale includes a trailer, the 1975 TZ750 display engine, Vesco's driving suit, helmet, boots, and vintage photos.
