1988 Italdesign Aztec Coupe
This will not win you awards at Pebble Beach. This won't attract potential love interests. This will not do any of the things we normally expect from cars — but this still isn't the ugliest car to be named Aztec. That award belongs to the infamous Pontiac, although the 1988 Italdesign Aztec coupe is a very close second. Despite looking like an '80s sci-fi reject, the Aztec was based on Giorgetto Giugiaro's 1988 Turin Motor Show prototype, and Italdesign had planned on producing 50 of them. Only 25 were made — for obvious reasons. The drivetrain starts with a turbocharged Audi 2.2-liter inline-five and ends with a Lancia all-wheel-drive system. The twin cockpit is perfect for riding with someone you can't stand, and a plethora of strange features await the new owner. If avoiding other people is important to you, the current bid on this Aztec is $75,000.
