1993 Vector Avtech WX-3 Prototype

California-based Vector Aeromotive only made around 50 cars during its existence, yet its W8 still draws a crowd. The follow-up was the WX-3, only one of which — this prototype — was built before the company went out of business. Powered by a 7.0L twin-turbo V8 rated for 1,000 hp, it was claimed to hit a top speed of 248 mph and go from 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds. The car remained in the possession of company founder Jerry Weigart until 2019, when after changing hands it underwent a $300,000 restoration by Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, Connecticut. With an aerodynamic exterior, an interior sporting billet-machined switches, a computer screen, and a three-across bench seat, and just 2,625 miles on the odometer, it's a drivable piece of American automotive history.
