2007 Saleen S7 LM Coupe
Saleen created a stir in 2000 when it unveiled the S7, a mid-engined V8 American supercar with a space-frame chassis and carbon fiber body worked designed to win races. From 2000 to 2007, the S7R was a force in sports car racing — even humiliating Ferrari at their home track in a field full of their own race cars. In 2017, Saleen recommissioned a handful of S7s, updating the engine, chassis, aerodynamics, and interior to modern specifications. The S7 pictured here is one of a bare handful to receive the makeover, including bringing the 427 cubic-inch twin-turbo V8 to over 1,000 horsepower. The S7 lacks the electronic aids that make today's high-powered supercars tractable in everyday driving, so those accustomed to paddle-shifting, traction control, and electronic suspension might want to look elsewhere — unless the plan is to let it sit as this one has, with only 158 miles on the odometer.
