2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe
The wait is over — the mid-engine Corvette that Chevy has teased us with for nearly 50 years is a reality. The 2020 Corvette Stingray takes America's sports car into the supercar big leagues with the engine finally moving behind the driver — and that's an all-new engine behind your shoulders too. The 6.2-liter LT2 V8 makes 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, backed up by an eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission, all glued to the ground by magnetic ride control suspension that can adjust damping on the fly. The styling continues with familiar Corvette themes, with a strong resemblance to the Stingray that launched in 1968, and the engine visible underneath a glass cover. Possibly the best part might be the price — this mid-engine stunner starts at under $60,000.
