2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Coupe
Mercedes is bringing its AMG GT GT3 race car to the street with the Black Series, and it's possibly the fastest road-legal car to come from the legendary German manufacturer. The biggest change comes under the long hood, with a hand-assembled flat-plane crank twin-turbo V8. The new power unit makes 720 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 to 6,000 RPM, giving the GT Black Series a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 202 MPH. All that power required aero taking directly from the GT3 race car, with a front splitter, side skirts, and a massive rear wing that is anything but decoration. If there was any doubt as to the legitimacy of the modifications, the GT Black Series now holds the production car record for the Nurburgring, lapping the 12.8-mile section of the famous course in 6:43.616. The GT Black Series will arrive in the US in early 2021.
