Long the symbol of luxury automobiles that were designed to be driven in more than driven, Rolls-Royce is employing a new philosophy with the new Ghost. Reengineered from the ground up, the Rolls-Royce is striking a more understated theme with the model while adding four-wheel-steering and all-wheel-drive in a first for the company. The exterior retains the hallmarks of Rolls-Royce styling while toning down the Parthenon grille and redesigned Spirit of Ecstasy for a more subtle look. The interior has received a minimalist makeover, with uncluttered controls and a nearly infinite combination of leather and wood trims. Doors now open and close electronically, and the signature starlight headliner is now standard. While striking an understated tone, the Ghost still has the opulence Rolls-Royce built its name on.
