Chevrolet has officially announced its plans to take the Corvette electric. In a Tweet, the automaker announced that an electrified version of the American icon would be available as early as next year, with a fully electric model to follow. The message was posted alongside a video of a prototype drifting in the snow. The move coincides with General Motors' plans to transition to only electric vehicles by 2035.
