Ducati's sport-bred cruiser is getting a major upgrade with the Diavel V4. Gone is the aging 1,260cc L-twin engine in favor of Ducati's new 1,103cc Grantourismo V4. Power is up to 168 horsepower and 93 lb-ft of torque, with the engine making up the main structure of the bike. New subframes forward and aft carry the steering head and seat, with the single-sided swingarm bolting to the engine case. The result is a bike that's nearly 30 pounds lighter than the current model, with a curb weight of 491 lbs. Tech upgrades include four riding modes, Sport, Touring, Urban and the new Wet, Cornering ABS, up-and-down quick-shifting, Traction, Wheelie, Cruise, and Launch Control. The Diavel V4 will be in showrooms by Spring 2023.
