2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Truck

Chevrolet wasn't about to take Ford's F-150 Lightning laying down. Chevrolet announced the 2024 Silverado EV, coming in two flavors: An Avalanche-style Silverado RST quad-cab and a spartan fleet vehicle, the Silverado WT. The truck uses GM's Ultium platform, shared with the Hummer EV, although slightly detuned for the Silverado. Chevrolet claims up to 664 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque, with towing capability up to 10,000 pounds and 400 miles of range. While similar to the current Silverado's exterior, the RST smooths out the overall shape and eliminates the fussy, overly-complex front end. Inside is a 17-inch infotainment display, with SuperCruise hands-free driving that's calibrated for towing and seating for up to five. The RST First Edition will start production in 2023, with reservations open now on Chevrolet's website.
