2027 KTM Freeride E Dirt Bike
The KTM Freeride E has been cutting through Moab slickrock and Rocky Mountain singletrack since 2014, but for its entire lifespan, it has been limited to off-road only. The 2027 model is the first to ship street-legal in all 50 US states, with mirrors, turn signals, and a plate holder included from the factory, meaning it can now run Mulholland Drive on the way to the trailhead. The liquid-cooled motor produces 19.2 kW of peak power and 37.6 Nm of torque, with a 59 mph top speed, and the removable 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery delivers two to three hours of enduro riding. At 246.9 pounds, it runs WP suspension front and rear and Michelin Enduro Medium tires on 21- and 18-inch wheels. The near-silent motor also opens access to noise-restricted corridors in places like the Angeles National Forest, where combustion bikes have quietly worn out their welcome.
