3018 Exhibition

What will the items of our culture look like in 1,000 years? Daniel Arsham's 3018 Exhibition ponders this question through a series of thought-provoking objects. A 1981 DeLorean and a 1961 Ferrari 250GT California are present, but given an ashy gray appearance, with large chunks of both missing, having been eroded over the years. A pile of junkyard objects created for the gallery in 2015 sits between the cars, which are joined in the exhibition by a series of plaster sculptures of cartoon characters covered in bags and bound by rope. The 3018 exhibition runs through October 21 at the Galerie Perrotin in NYC.
