Alef Model A Flying Car

It's finally here — almost. The first electric flying car in history has received its Special Airworthiness Certification from the FAA, meaning the Alef Model A is cleared to begin testing with some restrictions. The Model A can take off and land vertically along with being able to drive on public roads, meaning that the FAA has been resolving the novel challenges this presents for an aircraft of this type. The Model A can carry two passengers and has a driving range of 200 miles and a flying range of 110 miles, as well as being sized for use on public roads and parking spaces. $150 gets potential buyers a general queue slot, while $1,500 lands a priority spot when deliveries start. Alef expects to be driving and flying by 2025.
