Andy Warhol's Double Elvis (Ferus Type)

Created in 1963 for the pop icon's second solo exhibit at LA's Ferus Gallery, Andy Warhol's "Double Elvis (Ferus Type)" is an excellent example of his celebrity-inspired work. The black silkscreen print is set on a silver background, and pictures Elvis playing the role of a gunslinger in the 1960 Western Flaming Star. It's one of just 22 such prints known to exist, eleven of which are in museums, and will be auctioned off in New York alongside another original Warhol work, "Most Wanted Men No. 11, John Joseph H., Jr".
