Apollo Humanoid Robot
Apptronik has built more than 10 robots before, including NASA's Valkyrie. It's rolled all it's learned into the design of the Apollo Humanoid Robot. Standing 5' 8" tall and weighing 160 pounds, it mimics the size and shape of a human, making it well-suited to handling tasks in human environments. It can use human tools and equipment, and with a payload of 55 pounds, can also carry loads over distances, with sensors that monitor its surroundings to avoid collisions. LEDs in its head, mouth, and chest work together to indicate its status and allow it to communicate with people nearby. The company plans to place it in warehouses and manufacturing plants first, then slowly expand into other applications including construction, electronics production, retail, home delivery, and more.
