Apple's HomePod sounds fantastic. It's also comparatively large for a smart speaker, and pricey. Apple's now channeling its audio know-how into a smaller (and cheaper) package with the HomePod Mini. Its spherical body stands a little over three inches tall, with a backlit touch surface up top for controlling music and interacting with Siri. Powered by the same S5 chip as the Apple Watch Series 5, it automatically adjusts the audio to optimize performance. It arrives November 16 in space gray or white.
