McIntosh MC3500 Vacuum Tube Amplifier Mk II

The original MC3500 was used to power the sound system at Woodstock, among many other legendary music events. First dreamed up at the festival's 50th anniversary and more than two years in development, its successor has arrived. The 350-Watt monoblock amp is powered by eight EL509S high-power vacuum tubes, chosen for their similarity to the 6LQ6 "sweep tubes" of the original. It offers modern conveniences like a Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor to keep the vacuum tubes operating at safe levels, a Sentry Monitor to watch over output levels, and Solid Cinch speaker binding posts. Its machined aluminum front panel was given a bead blast finish and gold anodizing to better match the original, this time with more ergonomic, integrated handles to make moving the 121-pound beast less of a chore.
