The flagship of their speaker line, Bowers & Wilkins' 800 Series is best known for its work as Abbey Road Studios monitor of choice. For 2021, it's getting an update. The D4 generation includes several notable improvements, including an all-new composite Biomimetic Suspension system that replaces the conventional fabric spider found in most loudspeakers, a rigid, cast aluminum top section that replaces the previous wooden version for added stiffness, and a new satin walnut finish, which joins the previously available gloss black, white, and satin rosenut options. Seven models are included in the range, including the two-way 805, the floor standing 804, 803, and 802, the flagship 801, and the HTM81 and HTM82 center channel speakers.
