When Widgets debuted in iOS 14, they were noticeably absent from the iPad. With iPadOS 15, they make the jump to the larger screen, alongside the App Library. Multitasking has long been frustrating on the iPad, and it receives an overhaul in the new release, with controls that are easier to find and understand.
