The prior M1-based MacBook Air was already the world's best-selling laptop. The 2022 model adopts an all-new design and is powered by the all-new M2 processor. Its unibody aluminum enclosure is just 11.3mm thin and weighs just 2.7 lbs., yet holds a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a notch and much smaller bezels, and boasts MagSafe charging, two thunderbolt ports, and a headphone jack. The M2 processor is up to 18% faster than the M1 with up to 35% faster graphics, an 8-core CPU, up to 10 GPU cores, and support for up to 24GB of unified memory. Available in four finishes — silver, space gray, midnight, and starlight — it arrives in stores next month alongside an M2-powered 13" MacBook Pro.
