1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series II
The DB5 is more famous. But it was the DB4 that laid the groundwork. Presented here in its original Goodwood Green with Red Connolly leather interior, this 1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series II is one of the most original, well preserved examples around. It was one of just 125 left-hand-drive models built, and still has its original matching numbers 3,670 cc six-cylinder engine. That powerplant, combined with the four-speed David Brown gearbox, let the car go from 0-60 in under 9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 140 mph, making it one of the fastest cars of its day. This example has had only three previous owners, and arrives with its original UK logbook, invoices, service history and chromed wire wheels.
