Building a supercar is a notoriously difficult proposition. Just ask Lyons, Devel, and a bevy of other small builders who tried to make it work. But with the advent of commercially available electric motors and battery packs, building an electric car isn't all that difficult — the hardest part is propulsion, and those can be snagged off the shelf. Japan's Aspark plans to enter the electric supercar arena with their Owl concept car. Aspark has set some high performance targets, but unlike some vaporware designers, they have a chassis in the testing phase. Check out the car, minus the beautiful bodywork, in action here.
