BMW i Vision Dynamics Concept

The Tesla Model S hasn't faced any real competition since its introduction — until now. BMW is very serious about electric vehicles, and its i Vision Dynamics concept proves their commitment. Called a Gran Coupe, the four-door i Vision features a 373-mile range, zero-to-60 in four seconds, and a 120 MPH top speed. An evolution of the BMWi design philosophy, the i Vision is wrapped flowing sheet metal with sharp, defined edges, and a huge, illuminated twin-kidney grille. Sitting between the i3 and i8, the i Vision will fill the sedan gap in the lineup when it debuts.

  • Jaguar Future-Type Concept

If electric cars are the near future, autonomous cars are just over the horizon. A fleet of on-demand electric autonomous cars, arriving at your door when summoned, are the next logical step — and Jaguar is preparing for it with the Future-Type concept. Jaguar's vision sees the current decline in car ownership, coupled with the rise of ride-sharing services, and presents an opportunity to experience Jaguar even for those that don't own one. A centerpiece of the concept is the Sayer — an intelligent steering wheel that acts as an Alexa coupled to the Jaguar service. The Sayer will be the proof of membership, allowing customers to use Jaguar's innovative service.

  • Mini John Cooper Works GP Concept

Building on prior JCW models, the Mini John Cooper Works GP Concept is the latest take on a Mini that's as capable on the track as it is on the road. Wider than the standard model, it has a custom front apron, side skirts, and other add-ons made from carbon fiber to reduce weight. Further bulk reduction comes from removing the back seats, resulting in a spartan, driver-focused interior. Other details provide further assurance that this isn't your average Cooper, including the roll cage, 19-inch Racetrack wheels, half-Union Jack on each of the taillights, and 0059 on the sides, referring to 1959, the year the Mini launched.
