Ash Lane House
Designed by Swatt / Miers Architects, this contemporary California house is situated on 3.7 rural acres in Portola Valley. The concrete, glass, and wood volume is laid out in an L-shape, forming a private central courtyard with a 75-foot infinity pool and sculptural sunshade. The sprawling 7,965 square-foot interior features six bedrooms and spacious living spaces set behind expansive walls of glazing. To take advantage of the views, most rooms are oriented toward the north to capture vistas across the bay and to San Francisco in the distance.
