Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon Watch
Verbal, the Tokyo rapper and M-Flo co-founder, built Ambush with his wife Yoon Ahn into the Tokyo label behind collaborations with Nike, Louis Vuitton, and Dior. He's also owned one of the original 2002 Royal Oak Concept watches since its release, so when AP came to them with a canvas, the result wasn't decoration but a point of view. The defining move is AP's first-ever anodized red tourbillon cage, suspended at 6 o'clock against a black aventurine semi-openworked dial with blackened 18k white gold hands. The 38.5mm titanium case runs just 11.4mm thick, meaningfully slimmer than the Concept line's typical 15mm-plus profile and the reason this is the first unisex watch in the collection's history. The new Calibre 2982 is hand-wound with a 72-hour power reserve; two interchangeable micro-mosaic rubber straps, one black and one red, are included. Limited to 150 pieces.
