He's also owned one of the original 2002 Royal Oak Concept watches since its release, so when AP came to them with a canvas, the result wasn't decoration but a point of view. The defining move is AP's first-ever anodized red tourbillon cage, suspended at 6 o'clock against a black aventurine semi-openworked dial with blackened 18k white gold hands. The 38.5mm titanium case runs just 11.4mm thick, meaningfully slimmer than the Concept line's typical 15mm-plus profile and the reason this is the first unisex watch in the collection's history. The new Calibre 2982 is hand-wound with a 72-hour power reserve; two interchangeable micro-mosaic rubber straps, one black and one red, are included. Limited to 150 pieces.
