Audi Concept C
Audi's next sports car is named after the 1936 Auto Union Type C, Ferdinand Porsche's mid-engined supercharged V16 Grand Prix racer that topped 258 mph and was so savage it could induce wheelspin at 150 mph. Unveiled at IAA Munich, the Concept C is an all-electric two-seat roadster that honors that layout directly: the battery sits stacked behind the seats and ahead of the rear axle, dropping the roofline to just 50.6 inches. An electrically retractable two-piece hardtop debuts here for the first time on an Audi. The concept is road-registered, the design chief says 87 percent of what you see will make production in 2027. The wait is the hard part.
