This close relationship is evidenced on the watch's gold caseback, which reads "A Angelo da Ayrton 1978", or "To Angelo from Ayrton". The watch itself is also notable as a reference 16528, the earliest of Rolex's automatic gold chronograph Daytonas, and has both a rare floating dial and a desirable Mark 1 bezel.
