Chef Lee Tiernan opened Black Axe Mangal with three principals: bread, smoking, and grilling. The 20-seat London hotspot creates dishes with a hard rock attitude, serving Squid Ink Flatbreads with a side of KISS. In the restaurant's inaugural cookbook, Tiernan shares some of his signature plates including Shrimp-encrusted Pigs' Tails and Prune Donuts, minus the heavy metal music. Its 216 pages are filled with over 120 appetizing images along with detailed instructions.
