BMW is bringing its electric vehicle technology to the mass market with the i4 Gran Coupe, scheduled to arrive in 2021. The i4 is the electrified spiritual successor to the 3-series, and BMW is promising performance to rival even the M3 when the i4 makes its debut. 530 horsepower will be on tap from the electric motor, and an 80 kWh battery pack will provide 350 miles of range. BMW claims a 0-62 MPH time of four seconds, although the production version could be substantially faster. Both the standard sedan and the crossover-esque Gran Coupe will have the same platform and drivetrain with identical performance numbers.
