BMW Security Vehicle Training Courses
BMW wants to sell you an armored car — and the skills to drive it properly in a worst-case scenario. BMW has been offering Security Vehicle Training Courses for over 35 years, currently located at the Templin NATO air base north of Berlin. Training involves realistic scenarios simulating real-world threats. Day one has students learning how to handle the heavy X5 and i7 Protection — the latter of which weighs in at over 9,000 pounds. The focus is on using the terrain to evade attackers, not high-speed Hollywood chase scenes. Day two has courses on high-speed maneuvers culminating in a simulated attack with pyrotechnic explosions. Upon completion, the three-day Level 2 course is offered with advanced techniques. Spots for 16 students are available, with more information upon request.
