The original Co-Pilot Ref. 765 dates back to the 1950s and featured a bold design that helped it become a favorite amongst pilots. Breitling is bringing back that timepiece, recreated faithfully to one of the earliest examples. Just like the original, the new watch has a 41mm case, domed crystal, and a 12-hour bezel that is secured by three screws that are placed in exactly the same positions as the one from 1953. The brand is also adding what it calls "two concessions to modernity": an increase in water resistance to 30 meters and in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09 hand-wound movement that was developed specifically for historical re-editions. It's available on a black vintage-inspired leather strap as a limited-edition of 1953 pieces, each of which is engraved "ONE OF 1953".
