Buffalo Trace Eagle Rare 25 Bourbon
Buffalo Trace makes some of the best bourbons on Earth — so when an expression comes out that's the oldest from their premium Eagle Rare line, take note. As the name suggests, Eagle Rare 25 spent 25 years in the barrel, and is the first release from the distillery's Warehouse P, an experimental structure purpose-built to see if they could extend the aging process of bourbons and whiskeys without losing quality. The result is a remarkably smooth yet complex spirit with balancing flavors of vanilla and butterscotch with a spicy finish. It arrives in a hand-blown crystal decanter encased in a hand-hammered sterling silver wing; a fitting tribute to the 101-proof bourbon's silver anniversary in the barrel from which it came. Limited to 200 bottles.
