Cadillac is stepping into the electric vehicle world with the Lyriq SUV concept that previews GM's modular electric platform and new styling language for the brand. The Lyriq uses GM's next-generation Ultium battery system that can provide a range of up to 300 miles on a single charge with DC fast-charging capability. The modular platform will feature rear-wheel or sport-oriented all-wheel-drive with a near 50/50 weight balance. The Lyriq is packed with the latest tech, including a dual-plane augmented-reality HUD, a driver recognition system that plays a choreographed lighting sequence when they approach the vehicle, a massive wrap-around 33-inch curved panel display, and GM's Super Cruise autonomous driving system. The new styling retains the recognizable shield theme while tightening the lines and a new "black crystal" grille that will be featured throughout the Cadillac lineup.
