Carota Nike Self-Lacing Sneaker Concept

Nike is expected to release a new version of their self-lacing HyperAdapt sneakers this year. We doubt they'll look like this concept from Carota Design, but it wouldn't be a bad thing. The decidedly modern silhouette uses two bright red cords to tighten a front plate to the rest of the shoe, securing the foot in the process. A twist on the heel cup's control loosens or tightens the cords, while a gloss finish on the tongue, extending down onto the toe, seems like a subtle shoutout to the Jordan XI.
