Caterham Project V Electric Sports Car

Caterham has been building updated versions of Colin Chapman's Lotus 7 for 50 years, almost single-handedly keeping one of the greatest sports cars of all time alive. To mark those 50 years, Caterham is introducing Project V, an all-electric sports car based on the same principles as the Seven — reduce weight and add lightness. The Project V is powered by a 268-horsepower electric motor driving the rear wheels and a 55kWh battery. This gives the two-seater a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds and 249 miles of range, all wrapped in sweeping bodywork by Italdesign. The suspension is fully-adjustable with high-performance brakes nodding towards its sporting intentions. Caterham hopes to launch Project V in late 2025 or early 2026.
