Chevrolet Silverado EV ZR2 Off-Road Concept
Following in the footsteps of the Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 race trucks, Chevy is preparing to run a Silverado EV ZR2 race truck concept in the grueling Mint 400 off-road race. The concept was only five months in development and features roughly 98% GM production parts. Its prototype Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve continuously adaptive dampers provide more than 13" of front and rear wheel travel. When combined with the 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud-Terrain tires and a tri-motor electric propulsion system that creates 1,100 horsepower, it's more than capable. The concept will be entered as part of the Chad Hall Racing team, who will work with Chevy to apply what they learn to production vehicles, performance parts, and accessories. The concept reveal comes ahead of the Silverado EV Trail Boss, which will be the first production off-road variant of the electric truck.
