Nike Alphafly 3 Road Racing Shoes

Running 26.2 miles is a lot different than tackling your local charity 5K. To accommodate the needs of marathon runners, Nike created the Alphafly line, now in its third generation. It employs two types of Zoom cushioning — a high-stack ZoomX foam midsole that encourages a smooth transition and Air Zoom units in the forefoot for an energy return boost. A wide, full-length carbon fiber Flyplate improves forward propulsion, and the breathable Atomknit 3.0 upper is paired with a lacing system designed with racer input to enhance comfort.

LEGO Formula E Porsche 99X

Launched in 2014, Formula E is the electric offshoot of Formula 1, and among the race cars running the series is the Porsche 99X. Part of LEGO's Technic series, this building set recreates the all-electric racer complete with authentic sponsor logos including Tag Heuer, Mobil, and others. In addition to the detailed exterior, it also has two pull-back motors that work with the LEGO Technic AR app to allow young builders — or just those young at heart — to mimic a real-life racing experience. Made up of 422 pieces, the set is ideal for ages 9 and up and measures over 2" high, 12" long, and 4.5" wide.
