Congleton EV-Classic SUV
Taylor Congleton is well-versed in rebuilding Range Rover Classics and Land Rover Defenders. Now he's applying his skills to a new area: all-electric conversion. Dubbed the EV-Classic, the build consists of a full restoration paired with the replacement of the traditional powertrain with a 400v, 300hp motor and a full Tesla battery pack. This combo delivers comparable range to the original V8 while offering a 0-60 time that's cut roughly in half and a top speed of 95 mph. The A/C, heat, and all ancillary systems function the same as they did from the factory, and customers can customize a wide range of options, including exterior colors and details, interior trim, and sound systems. For those that prefer their vintage SUVs to have a German slant, the company also has an EV-Wagen in development.
