Rod Stewart's Lamborghini Countach LP400 Periscopio

Some cars are destined for glory, and this 1977 Lamborghini Countach LP400 is one such car. Delivered to Australia in rosso with a tobacco interior, it is one of 157 of the highly desirable 'periscopio' models. But that isn't all — Lamborghini aficionado Rod Stewart was touring Australia at the time and purchased the car — the first of three Countachs he would own. Stewart kept the car in the studio where he recorded the record Blondes Have More Fun, photos of which can be found in his autobiography. The car would cross continents and be extensively modified over the years before being sold by Stewart in 2002. The current owner purchased it in 2013, and had the car painstakingly restored to its original specs by some of the best names in the business. With its documented history and restoration, this Lamborghini stands out even among its illustrious peers.
