Cubed
Everyone hates cubicles, even if they don't work in one. So how did they become so ubiquitous? Cubed: A Secret History of the Workplace answers this question and many more in a 300+ page look at the history of the modern work environment, taken from sources as varied as books on management and business history to popular comics and movies (Office Space being an obvious contributor). And while cubicle farms might be bleak, the book isn't, conveying a good sense of humor throughout and leaving us with the possibility that none of us may be bound to desks for very much longer.
