Starting February 18th, every Friday and Saturday at The Met is date night. The Metropolitan Museum of Art's new experience is offering an alternative to the traditional dinner and a movie. Each weekend starting at 5 p.m., couples can spend the evening immersed in art and live music while exploring the museum's galleries and exhibits. During the event, guests can take advantage of the buy-one-get-one drink specials and enjoy light fare and small bites from the American Wing Café and Balcony Lounge. Upcoming performers consist of contemporary string quartet ETHEL, medieval, Renaissance, and baroque ensemble Sonnambula, and Mike Hashim's New Orleans Foot Warmers. Other highlights include Gallery Chat with a Museum guide, allowing visitors to get to know works of art.
